Technical Sales Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented Technical Sales Manager to join our team at an established industrial vacuum furnace manufacturer. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing customer relationships and promoting our business by selling equipment and services. As a Technical Sales Manager, you will collaborate closely with the Engineering Team to determine the proper components and sizes of custom equipment for our valued clients.


Salary $80K +/- DOE


Responsibilities:


  1. Sales Prospecting:



  • Conduct sales prospecting activities, including assembling mailing/emailing lists and developing compelling email content.

  • Manage and execute email campaigns to reach potential customers effectively.

  • Make cold calls to generate leads and identify new business opportunities.


  1. Proposal Preparation and Presentation:



  • Prepare detailed proposals for equipment tailored to the specific needs of customers.

  • Present proposals in person and virtually, showcasing the benefits and features of our products and services.


  1. Trade Show Representation:



  • Act as a representative of our company at trade shows, engaging with potential customers and networking within the industry.


  1. Sales Follow-up and CRM Management:



  • Utilize CRM software to track and manage communications with potential customers.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of interactions, inquiries, and follow-up activities.


  1. Marketing and Content Development:



  • Collaborate with marketing team to develop marketing literature, ensuring it reflects the value and uniqueness of our offerings.

  • Participate in video production efforts to create engaging content for promotional purposes.

  • Contribute to website management to ensure relevant and updated product information.


Requirements:


  • Proven experience in technical sales, preferably in the industrial equipment or related industry.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain lasting customer relationships.

  • Proficiency in CRM software, enabling effective tracking and management of customer interactions.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop compelling marketing content, both in written and video formats.

  • Technical aptitude and understanding of industrial equipment is a plus, allowing for effective communication with the Engineering Team.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both in-person and virtually.

  • Highly motivated, proactive, and results-driven approach to achieving sales targets.
